The next monthly membership meeting of the Greater Brunswick Area Chamber of Commerce will be held on Wednesday, July 5th, 7:30AM, at the Green Country Inn - 620 Souder Road. All new and prospective members are invited to attend. The next Business Card Exchange is July 20th, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at CM Bloomers in the Brunswick Shopping Center.

All monthly membership meetings will be held on 1st Wednesday at 7:30am, unless otherwise notified.

GBACC NEWS:

The Business Card Exchange was June 2, 2006 at Beans in the Belfry from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Twenty-seven people signed the register and nine were potential new members for GBACC. Hanna, Jim and Melanie did a wonderful job hosting and sponsoring the event. A table was set up for various advertising promotions the Chamber has to offer. The door prize drawings were won by Jeremy Biser, Three Day Pass to Musclehoggers Gym, donated by Beth Johnson of Musclehoggers Gym; Catherine Tynan, Gift Certificate to Safeway, donated by Mary McCormack, Sage Small Business; Doug O’Rear, Gift Certificate for a massage donated by Catherine Breeden, Brunswick Wellness Center; and Dallas Blair, A Jar of Strawberry Preserves donated by Oneida Heffner of H&R Block. The event was on the same night as “Main Street’s” First Friday to encourage people to bring their families and friends and enjoy the activities/shops on Potomac Street. Unfortunately the weather was threading so attendance was smaller than usual.

The General Membership meeting was June 5th at the Green Country Inn. It was decided that starting in July the General Membership meeting would be changed from 1st Mondays to 1st Wednesdays at 7:30 am. GBACC will now have affiliated membership dues for non-profits of $35.00 per year. GBACC is setting up a bulk mailing system formembers to received a discount for mass mailings.
