The next monthly membership meeting of the Greater Brunswick Area Chamber of Commerce will be held on Monday, June 5th, 7:00PM, at the Green Country Inn - 620 Souder Road. All new and prospective members are invited to attend. The next Business Card Exchange is June 2nd, 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Bean in the Belfry.
All monthly membership meetings will be held on 1st Mondays at 7pm, unless otherwise notified.
GBACC News:
On May 3, 2006 at the General Membership Meeting the By Laws for GBACC were approved by the membership. Charlotte Klaar, Chair for the Membership Committee said, “This was a cooperative effort of all members of the Committee and I want to thank the committee members for their dedication and attention across many meetings and many drafts to have developed the current document.” Charlotte and the Membership Committee members were very pleased to see the By Laws passed as written. Ellis Burruss, GBACC President, congratulated the group on a job well done.
The new GBACC Logo was used officially for the first time on the invitations for the Business Card Exchange. These invitations were sent out to 657 businesses in the Brunswick, Lovettsville, Jefferson and Middletown area.

NEWS FROM THE GBACC MEMBERSHIP:
Altitude Home Inspections, Inc., is now offering three new services, including MDE certified lead paint Visual Inspections for rental properties, Maryland State certified drinking water testing and indoor Radon testing. These environment-testing services are in addition to full home inspections and course of construction inspections for new homes being built.

HAM RADIO FIELD DAY - Y'ALL COME -
JUNE 24 - 25 - NOON TO NOON
MADXRA ("mahDEXrah"), Inc., a regional Ham club centered in MD, will
conduct its part of the 2006 Field Day exercise at SkyCroft Center, 9416
Frostown Road, near Washington Monument State Park. A map is available at
www.skycroft.org. Visitors would be very welcome any time at no cost. If
you're coming for dinner, breakfast, or lunch, there would be a nominal
fee and reservations are requested so that the kitchen doesn't run out of
food. Last year's Field Day involved 30,000 hams in North America. It's
events like this that train Hams to get ready for ice storms and

Potomac River Family Festival and the “Great Brunswick River Race”
Saturday, June 10, 2006 11am–3:00pm at the Brunswick City Campground.
