The GBACC President called the meeting to order at 7:45 AM. Eight members were in attendance.
The minutes of the June meeting were accepted as posted on the web site.
The treasurer was absent so a Treasurer Report was not given. For a complete Treasurer’s Report contact the GBACC Treasurer.
Membership Committee: Cheryl Wathen, Membership Co-Chair announced that the ads directed at home and small businesses would be put into the Brunswick Citizen. The membership report was approved.
Activities: Jerry advised the next Business Card Exchange would be at the Brunswick Farmers Market on July 22nd, 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The Farmers Market is located in Railroad Station Landing.
The September business card exchange will be Wednesday, September 10th at Book Crossing in downtown Brunswick.
There was a recommendation from the Board that we take a summer break and that there be no business meeting or business card exchange in August. A meeting to start planning the October Railroad Days reception was rescheduled for Thursday, July 9th, 6:30 pm at Green Country Inn.
Announcements: Katherine Iacovelli reported on the successful EDC community picnic and the start of the Movies in the Park. She also announced the EDC meeting is the first Thursday of the month, 7:00 pm at City Hall.
The business portion of the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 AM.
Patrick Kay the Brunswick Main Street Manager discussed upcoming events for “Main Street” and the different committees that make up the organization. Hanna Politis spoke on the June 2010 Heritage Music Festival.
