Treasurer’s Report:
Dave Swope was not present but sent the Treasurer’s report and copies of the financial statements to the GBACC Secretary for filing. For a complete treasurers report contact the Treasurer.
Events:
The Railroad Day reception with the Brunswick Main Street is on schedule. El Sloppy Taco, Railside Café, Bonnie’s Country Kitchen, The Green Country Inn and Beans in the Belfry will be or have been contacted to supply the food. Gail Shaw will check the $25.00 in-house gift certificate requested from Costco. Tomy Wright will provide musical entertainment. We will order 400 GBACC note pads from Bellwether Printing for give-a-ways at the booth on Saturday and Sunday at approximately 47c each. Requests have been made in the Friday bulletins for people to volunteer to help with the GBACC booth during Railroad Days.
El Sloppy Taco will host the November 12th Business Card Exchange and Phil Graves of Out of the Mud Media will sponsor it. On December 10th the Business Card Exchange will be at Railside Café. Jerry made a recommendation we ask the Lovettsville Business Association to have the business card exchange every other month starting in January 2010. GBACC would host the Business Card Exchange one month and LBA would host it the next month. The proposal was passed by the board and Jerry will speak to the LBA about it.
Membership:
Weather Lea Farm joined GBACC in September. Ben will call members who have not paid their GBACC dues to find out if they are planning to rejoin, before we take them off the web directory. It was suggested the Membership Committee ask some of the new members to join the Committee.
Board of Elections: Ellis announced the members of the board of elections will have the board nominees’ ready by the October Business Meeting.
Donations: Donation for the end of the year was discussed. It was voted on and passed GBACC will give the same donations as it did last year in the “GBACC Gives Back” program. Two Hundred dollars was given to CASS, the Brunswick Food Bank, The Emergency Relief Fund and the Jefferson Food Bank. GBACC will also provide some support, to be determined later, for the Main Street June 2010 Music Festival.
