GBACC GENERAL BUSINESS MEETING, APRIL 7, 2010




In the absence of the President, Phil Graves, Vice President called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM.    Eleven persons were in attendance.

 

February did not have minutes to the General Meeting.  The meeting was postponed due to low attendance.

 

GBACC Treasurer David Swope was absent.  Phil read the Treasurers Report supplied by David.  For more information on the Treasurers Report please contact David Swope.

 

Membership:   Rosemary Huf, Chair of the Membership Committee advised she would have name tags for each member at the next meeting.  She presented Membership Certificate and Packets to Pat Schoonover of The Bra Lady and Brian Buckley of Revolution Networks.

 

Events/Activities:

 Speed Networking will be Thursday, April 22nd, 6:30 PM at The Green Country Inn.  Members were advised to bring plenty of business cards.

 

Trade Show – GBACC will participate in the September Frederick Chamber of Commerce Trade Show.  More information will be given as it is available.

 

May Business Card Exchange – Clive Felgate President of Upward Enterprises, Inc announced the May Business Card Exchange will be at his facility.  It will be on Thursday, May 19th, 5:00 to 7:00 PM.  Clive said you should wear comfortable shoes for a tour of the facility and the brave will allowed to go on the “Zip Line”.  This event is for adults only due to safety concerns.  More information and directions will be in the Friday bulletins.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 PM. 

 

Phil Graves, Vice President of Island Joe Group, gave a talk on how Social Media can help in our businesses.
