GBACC

Attending: Ellis Burruss, Phil Graves Jerry Knight, David Swope, Ben Mourad, Cheryl Wathen and Rosemary Huf 

The meeting was called to order at 6:35 pm.

1 - Minutes were approved as written.

2 - Membership - The current monthly business meeting has been called into question because of poor attendance.  The board discussed possible solutions to the problem including having quarterly or bi-monthly meeting.  A proposal to combine the monthly EDC breakfast with GBACC and Main Street was discussed and it was agreed Ellis should bring up the suggestion at the Friday, May 21st EDC Meeting.  The proposal will be discussed at the June 9th Business Meeting and a letter will be sent out before the meeting advising the Members to attend if they have an opinion on the meeting.

2 - It has been suggestion GBACC have a "Shred Day".  GBACC would contract with All-Shred Inc. to shred documents for the local residents and businesses.  Some restrictions would need to be put on the number and size of the document cartons. Phil advised his company would like to include E cycling with the event. EDC, City Hall or one of the local banks would be asked to help sponsor the event.  Jerry will check with Beth Johnson to find out when the Community Help Event is going to be so "Shred Day" could be link to it.

 3 - Other Events:  The monthly Business Card Exchanges will be as follows:

June 17 – Grasshopper Garden & Patio 6:00PM to 8:00 PM

July - working on a picnic with the Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC)

August - GBACC & LBA at the Weather Lea Farms in Lovettsville

September - Open

October - Railroad Days reception with Brunswick Main Street

November - Open

December 15 - Green Country Inn - 6:00 to 8:00 PM

 The next Business Meeting is June 9th.
