GBACC BOARD MINUTES JULY 26, 2010

Attending: Ellis Burruss, Jerry Knight, Ben Mourad, Phil Graves, Cheryl Wathen and Rosemary Huf
Absent:   David Swope, 
 
NOTE: The board meeting was changed to Monday, July 26th due to availability of members.
 
The meeting was called to order at 6:15 pm.
 
1 - Minutes were approved as written.
 
2 - GBACC Treasurer David Swope was not present.
 
3 - Membership - The July dues notification letters have been sent out. P&N Computer is a new member of GBACC. Rosemary will contact the new member.
 
4 - Activities:
 
       Business card exchanges:
August 12 - GBACC & LBA at the WeatherLea Farm in Lovettsville
September 15 - Head-Quarters
October 1- Railroad Days reception with Brunswick Main Street
November - 18 Green Country Inn
December 15 - Full Circle Life
 
The Shredding Day in conjunction with the Brunswick "Gives Back" Day is Saturday, August 28th. Cheryl will find out if it can be in the Brunswick Shopping Center parking lot. Phil is finding out if Island Joe is doing an electronic recycling. Jerry will find out what All-shred suggests we put on flyers for the shredding. We will allow three standard 11 x17 cartons per business or household. Ellis will provide a tent to display the BB&T and GBACC banners and information.
 
GBACC is working with the EDC to find speakers for the Brunswick Business Breakfast. The next meeting to discuss speakers will be Thursday, August 5th, 6:00 pm at City Hall. Several suggestions for speakers were given to Ellis by board members.
 
The GBACC Nominating commission is looking for volunteers to help on the committee.
 
 
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 PM
