The meeting was called to order at 7:45 AM. Seven persons were in attendance.
1) The minutes were accepted as posted on the GBACC Web Site.
2) GBACC Treasurer David Swope was not present so the report was not given. For information on the Treasurers Report please contact David Swope.
3) Membership: Cheryl Wathen reported GBACC acquired one new member and three members sent in their 2010 dues.
4) Events/Activities:
The August Business Card Exchange will be Thursday, August 12th at WeatherLea Farm and will be with the Lovettsville Business Association (LBA). The September 15,2010 Business Card Exchange will be at Head-Quarters salon in downtown Brunswick.
Flyers were passed out for the August 28th Community Shredding Day event at the Brunswick Shopping Center. It will be 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and more information is on the web page.
Ellis gave a report on the EDC/GBACC meeting on Thursday, August 5th. Speakers for the Brunswick Community Breakfast were discussed. Chris Olson has classes on starting a small business in Frederick and it was suggested he be asked to do one in Brunswick.
The members present discussed the welcome baskets briefly and a meeting will be called in September to make the final decision on the baskets.
